The Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal is a small nation, wedged between the giants of India and Tibet. Its geography is dominated by the eastern Himalayas, including the world's highest mountain, the formidable Mount Everest.
The harsh, breathtaking environment of rock and ice makes way in the south to some of the most picturesque and enchanting landscapes, the so-called foothills. A subtropical climate produces a colourful spectrum of rainforest , rice fields and tropical fruit trees. The lowlands of the Terai are hot and humid with enough jungle to provide a home to tigers, elephants and rhinoceros, as in the famous Chitwan National Park.
The spiritual heritage shaped by Tibetan Buddhism in the higher regions and Hinduism elsewhere gives substance to people's lives throughout Nepal, making them relevent, kind, hospitable and hard-working people.

Itinerary
Day 1 Depart UK and fly yo Kathmandu.
Day 2 Arrive Kathmandu. Evening cycle rickshaw ride through the city to a traditional Nepalese restaurant. No meals included today.
Day 3 Guided tour of the highlights of the Kathmandu Valley to include Bhaktapur, the temple of Pashupatinath & Bodhnath stupa. Rest of afternoon is free.
Day 4 Travel into the mountains to your Himalayan hotel in Pokhara.
Day 5 Full day of trekking in the Himalayan foothills with our mountain guide.
Day 6 Full day rafting on the Seti River with our professional rafting crew & overnight camp.
Day 7 Morning rafting onto Ghaigat and a short distance to Chitwan National Park. Afternoon guided tour of the Tharu village & farms.
Day 8 Morning travel to the River Rapti by ox-cart and then climb into dug-out canoes. In the afternoon you will have the chance to visit the elephant breeding centre.
Day 9 Elephant safari through the Chitwan jungle. Free afternoon.
Day 10 Travel back to Kathmandu by via Manakamana scenic spot. Free afternoon.
Day 11 Transfer to the airport for your homebound flight.
